Description:

The Assistant PR Coordinator is an integral part of the day to day operations of the New York office. The candidate will be responsible for the following: administrative duties, account management and support to senior staff, facilitating requests and sample trafficking, weekly and monthly report creation, product pitching and writing.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking problem solver who thrives in a fast paced environment. A key element to this role is building strong relationships with clients and helping to create and maintain a positive and productive work environment. It is essential for the candidate to be a team player with an upbeat attitude- no task is too big or small.

Responsibilities:

-Create and manage status reports and press coverage reports on a monthly or weekly basis for clients

-Build, manage and update database of media, bloggers and influencers

-Prepare agenda recap notes for client calls/meetings for circulation post meetings

-Manage editorial calendars and brainstorm ways for client inclusion

-Conduct proactive product pitching

-Follow industry and client category trends

-Participate in creative brainstorming sessions

Requirements:

-Internship experience in communications or marketing

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Interest in and knowledge of social media channels and trends

-Proactive and productive attitude

-Strong understanding and love of current events, pop culture and trends and ability to think creatively

-Organized and detail oriented with an ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
