Negri Firman PR & Communications for its New York office, is looking for a Communications Assistant who will cooperate with the Senior Communications Manager, and will manage the press, PR, and influencers-related activities for a group of clients represented by Negri Firman.  We are looking for an ambitious and digitally savvy professional able to successfully combine with professional skills.  

Responsibilities include but limited to:

• Actively pitch story ideas and build strong relationships with editors and journalists across fashion, lifestyle, art, design, and travel sectors.
• Conduct media research and maintain updated contact lists and media databases.
• Draft and edit press releases, pitches, and other communications to support client initiatives.
• Monitor media and social media for press coverage, compiling daily highlights and insights.
• Execute and organize monthly client reports, summarizing press results and campaign impact.
• Support the Senior Managers and VP of Communications with day-to-day tasks and strategic projects.
• Collaborate with the Los Angeles team to provide support on various communication and administrative tasks, ensuring alignment across departments and time zones.
• Participate in strategy meetings and contribute research, tools, and ideas to strengthen client visibility.
• Utilize Launchmetrics to manage sample trafficking, including coordinating sample loans and send-outs.
• Assemble and coordinate press kit mailings.
• Maintain the showroom’s organization and professional appearance.
• Update and maintain internal documents, i.e. pitching calendars, press trackers
• Work on-site at press events such as press days, and private client activations.
• Conduct research to identify new tools, techniques, and strategies for promoting clients.

Skills & Qualifications

• This is an entry-level position requiring a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in similar role, either in PR and Communications agencies or in-house in the fashion, design, and lifestyle industry.
• Educated to degree-level. A BA in communications and PR is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with others to achieve common goals. 
• Proactive, organised and a team-player.
• You will be a dedicated, multi-tasked, and proactive candidate who is enthusiastic, works well within a small team and has an interest in fashion PR. 
• Proficient in PR reporting, analysing, and presenting data on PR activities, including media mentions and audience reach, conducting sentiment analysis and assessing campaign effectiveness.
• Expert in communications, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
