Stacy McLaughlin Communications is a boutique public relations firm specializing in luxury lifestyle and design with well-known and respected clients in interior design and architecture, as well as representing high-end product, design, art, antique, and jewelry galleries, publications, and specialty retail. With nearly 20 years of experience, we are a small band of highly motivated self-starters who are extremely organized and detail oriented. This has been a key to our continued success. We are passionate about the field of public relations and are currently looking for a junior associate to add to our growing team.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for public relations and the luxury lifestyle market. Digital and social media knowledge is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Must be able to skillfully prioritize a diverse workload of ongoing account reporting including internal status reports and monthly measurement/status reports
Manage, maintain and consistently update records and databases
Update media lists and create targeted lists as directed
Create content and manage social medial platforms: Instagram, Facebook and SMC website as well as contribute to client social media channels
Copy, scan, distribute and file press clippings
Coordinate mailings and package deliveries
Generate light correspondence
Manage and organize company headquarters
Participate in internal marketing and strategy meetings
Attend client meetings/conference calls
Contribute ideas at weekly media outreach meetings
Assist with event logistics as needed from party planning to running of event day activities
Oversee photo library for client projects
Assist with additional tasks as needed
IDEAL SKILLS:
Comfortable communicating with high profile clients
Well organized
Highly computer and internet savvy
Knowledge of all social media platforms
Able to operate under strict deadlines and anticipate needs
Able to prioritize and juggle multiple projects with efficiency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the Design or Jewelry/Fashion Accessories PR fields is desired
Knowledge of graphic design, SEO/SEM and video editing software is a bonus
