Description:

This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities to improve current business areas and growing the business. This position will align, leverage and orchestrate partnerships globally, regionally and locally and identify and drive strategies that facilitate proactive business retention and drive profitable new business development

- Business development and revenue generating opportunities (for/with profit and benefit auctions)

Brand and External Relations:

- Funnel all inbound brand opportunities and provide due diligence to maintain market prominence and determine ROI

- Coordinate with directors of sales & marketing on major brand initiatives/partnerships + follow up strategy

- Support sales in pitch, concept and execution of high-touch branded options

- Identify and vet key opportunities with media partners

- Generate and identify activation opportunities to result in positive press coverage

Target Audience Development:

- Secure non-auction partnerships to intimately connect Paddle8 (product + personnel) with select audience groups (i.e. membership / social / networking / banking / alumnae etc.) and generate in-person audience of targeted clients and prospective clients to engage

- Engineer concept and execution of audience development events with adherence to a limited budget

- Develop and implement on-site, immediate follow-up and longer-term engagement strategy for new audiences

Client and Business Development:

- Work closely with client development to mine client data, identify top clients and develop strategies around their cultivation

- Secure Paddle8’s ability to invite an internal roster of clients to partner events for specialist cultivation opportunities

- Conceptualize and secure funding for activations that will allow for a Paddle8-driven guest list

- Leverage external partnership opportunities for new for-profit business 

Benefit Partners (Non-Profit Organizations, Foundations, Charities):

- Work closely with Sales to secure top benefit by offering event sponsorship and brand partnership support 

- Work with Client Development and Benefits team, methodically invite key clients or team members to appropriate benefit events, and execute invitations and guest follow up

- Coordinate all logistics for benefit events (i.e. coordinating on media strategy, invitation lists, design elements, on-site execution, etc.)

- Work closely with Sales to determine live auction participation strategy and execute all logistics to accommodate company’s best interest in live auctions

Requirements:

- 5+ years’ experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred

- Experience in business development or enterprise sales role and / or Experience in non-profit fundraising, luxury goods or art is a plus

- Ability to come in and hit the ground running within a high energy start up culture

- A track-record of success in selling emerging product categories

- The ability to articulate and navigate complex, long-term & short-term sales cycles

- Great problem-solving skills, while being able to make creative, forward-looking decisions

- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

- A network of decision-makers and influencers across art or luxury goods
