Summer Intern – Public Relations & Digital Media

As a Cork + Knife intern, you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant world of food, wine, and spirits while gaining hands-on experience across Public Relations, Marketing, and Digital Media.

Responsibilities (sampling of role, not all inclusive):

  • Updating critical media lists to familiarize yourself with key print, online, and broadcast media contacts across various categories, including travel, food, spirits, wine, consumer, and events businesses.
  • Providing public relations support for account teams by drafting clip emails and creating formal clips, media monitoring, maintaining media lists, developing and tracking editorial calendars, monitoring press coverage, and conducting research.
  • Understanding and participating in event planning, including venue research, invitation creation, event decor, catering selection, list management, RSVP management, and ensuring a smooth night-of-event experience.
  • Assisting the team in executing product mailers for various seasonal moments, including ordering supplies, creating mailer packs, organizing printing, managing UPS shipments, and other related tasks.
  • Managing monthly reporting and other client administrative needs related to PR and Social Media activity.
  • Utilizing social media networks, specifically Instagram, to support client influencer programs, content creation, and other social media-related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment and problem-solve situations as they arise.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while simultaneously working on numerous projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and solution-driven.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of the social media landscape, particularly Instagram and Facebook.

Compensation + Terms:

  • Part-time position: $20/hour; paid bi-weekly.
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 10 am – 4 pm
    • In-office presence is required each day.
  • There will be some instances where additional earlier / later hours are requested and will be mutually agreed upon and confirmed by the Manager.
  • Starting date: May 2025 – Start date determined on candidate’s availability.
  • Up to 12 weeks – to be determined based on the candidate's Fall term start date.
  • Time off requested and agreed upon in advance.
  • Candidate will utilize their own personal laptop; the Company will provide official company email using Outlook365.
