Candidate handles client relations, identifies and secures press opportunities, and delivers consistent earned media coverage. Candidate must have excellent time management and prioritization skills; must be able to work on multiple accounts at the same time with strong delegation abilities. Candidate must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and embody that same entrepreneurial spirit. Simultaneously, candidate must be capable of executing multiple deliverables and meeting deadlines without constant follow up.
Areas of Responsibility Include:
Lead client meetings and calls
Develop strong angles for pitches and press releases
Pitch a range of media with the goal of press coverage, both product placement and larger brand / feature stories
Create Master Marketing & Editorial calendar
Conceptualize and initiate seasonal PR strategies for clients
Understand and identify appropriate strategic partnership opportunities for clients
Review and send through client deliverables: Weekly updates (sent to client by Account Executive)/Call agendas & recaps/Monthly reports
Provide oversight for Account Executive, performing quality checks on resulting work product: Processes & workflow/Review & approach to pitch angles
Facilitate new client on-boarding process including review of on-board kit & team org chart and scheduling kick off meeting with client
Brainstorm fresh ideas for client PR campaigns
Attend client events and relevant industry events
What is Expected From Me in My Role?
Have complete understanding of client messaging and brand, in order to thoughtfully represent accounts day-to-day
Spend at least 1 hour per day pitching each client
Excellent research and writing skills to craft relevant pitches for a range of media Immediate acknowledgement of client emails / phone calls, to uphold client service pillar of Brandstyle’s company ethos
Provide proactive status updates to SVP on a regular basis
Strong network of contacts with media; spend time networking with press and KOLs (key opinion leaders) outside of Brandstyle as much as possible
Ability to multitask and prioritize work (both Senior Account Executive’s and Account Executive’s) to ensure efficiencies
Firm understanding of what should be delegated to Account Executive and/or intern with consistent follow up
Diligent attention to detail and organizational skills
