An Affiliate Account Director at Dreamday is responsible for crafting the strategic vision and overseeing the execution of our clients’ affiliate marketing channels. The Affiliate Account Director will lead a team of Managers and Coordinators in order to implement strategic marketing campaigns for Dreamday’s clients, and will establish measurement frameworks that articulate the successes of the team’s efforts. This is a senior-level position that demands strong relationship management, steadfast leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record of success in managing and scaling businesses through affiliate marketing strategies. The ideal candidate does not back down from a challenge, but embraces it.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Program Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive affiliate marketing strategies aligned with clients' business goals.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives, target audience, and competitive landscape.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify affiliate opportunities and potential partnerships.
- Define program goals, KPIs, and success metrics, and establish benchmarks for performance evaluation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and go-to-market innovations.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and mentor a team of Affiliate Managers & Coordinators, providing guidance, structure, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Set clear objectives and expectations for team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and always seek ways to improve Standard Operating Procedures.
Affiliate Platform and Partnership Management
- Build and nurture relationships with technology platforms, publishers, influencers/creators, and media partners.
- Nurture relationships with high-potential Partners, with an emphasis on innovation and through the lens of Client fit.
- Provide direct guidance to Managers on tactics to negotiate and manage partnership terms and commission structures.
- Maintain open lines of communication with all Partner types, fostering engagement and loyalty.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of Leadership contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, marketing goals, and ROI expectations.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to optimize clients' affiliate programs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, deliver program updates, and present results and insights.
Reporting and Analytics
- Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on affiliate program performance, key metrics, and trends.
- Analyze data and derive actionable insights to optimize campaigns, maximize budgets, and drive incremental revenue growth for clients.
- Monitor industry benchmarks and competitor activities to identify opportunities for program enhancement.
- Enhance performance reporting and constantly challenge insights to ensure data integrity and establish data narratives that translate well to clients’ attribution models.
