Art Production Fund and The Standard, Hollywood hosted an intimate cocktail party for the unveiling of "CHAMP," artist Zoe Buckman's first public art installation. Guests previewed the work--a 43-foot tall neon installation of a uterus with fiberglass boxing gloves in place of ovaries--and were greeted with cocktails by servers dressed in alice + olivia CHAMP tee shirts before making their way to the mmhmmm lounge to fete Zoe.
Guests couldn't help but comment on the feminist work's timeliness with the Oscar's just a week away, and Art Production Fund Executive Director Casey Fremont remarked that the “empowering sculpture has a message that can’t be ignored.” Fremont welcomed guests and thanked all who championed the work to make the public project possible-- noting that the majority of supporters happened to be women.
