In honor of Human Trafficking Awareness month (January 2018), New York based non-profit Gotham Cares hosted a preview dinner at the Upper East private residence of Michelle and Asher Edelman to announce the foundations support and partnership with UNICEF and Polaris Ventures and the fight to end human trafficking for the second inaugural gala Gotham Cares will host this year in May 2018.
The Gotham Cares board including Ammar Moiz, Akbar Hamid, Ashish Prashar and Celine Crosa Di Vergagni welcomed guests including Political Director to former VP Joe Biden and director of his super pac "The American Possibilities" Pac, Greg Schultz, former Obama adviser and NY Assembly member Michael Blake, Polaris Project CEO, Bradley Myles, Chief Development Officer and UNICEF USA Executive Vice President, Barron Segar, Pre-eminent Author on modern day slavery and human trafficking, Benjamin Skinner and more amongst the impressive Edelman art collection including a dining room full of Warhol's. Möet & Chandon featured their 2009 vintage champagne.
