Young Musicians Unite (YMU) hosted its signature fundraising event last week, “Taste of YMU,” at the Pinecrest home of Stephanie and Alfred Armas, raising nearly $93,000 in cash and in-kind donations to support music education programs in Miami-Dade County.
Notable guests included Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel Regalado, philanthropist James Minutello, and influential music industry professionals.
The evening featured immersive culinary and beverage experiences by Luxesip Co., Havana 1957, Mezcal Mezul, and more, as well as live performances by YMU students and interactive showcases of YMU’s programs. Commissioner Regalado emphasized the transformative impact of music education, and YMU COO Zach Larmer celebrated the community’s collective efforts to empower the next generation through music.
