Located at 565 Broadway, on one of Soho’s most coveted corners in the neighborhood, Madewell has officially opened its new flagship store in SoHo. This expansive 6,512-square-foot space marks the brand’s return to the neighborhood where the first Madewell Manhattan store debuted in 2006.
To celebrate the opening, the brand hosted a party for a first-look at the space. The celebration was inspired by Madewell’s new campaign ‘Made for New York’. Guests including Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Blue Lindeberg, Eden Joi, Tommy Ton, and Nile Winchester, were greeted with Madewell keychains and skeleton keys to unlock the new experience. Cocktails and bites were inspired by the city including classic Dirty Martinis, White Cosmopolitans, caviar on crispy potato chips and New York cheesecake. DJ Harley Viera Newton played the ultimate cool girl NYC soundtrack.
This flagship represents the best of the Madewell brand, showcasing a refined sensibility with timeless interior details and modern design elements. Housed in a historic 1860 building, the space blends the charm of its architectural heritage with modern design influences. Inspired by SoHo’s iconic artist lofts, the store features restored Corinthian column capitals, a rediscovered mosaic tile floor, and carefully curated furniture, including a custom de Sede configuration and a vintage Ciuingam sofa.
