Mayenda Tequila, the luxury sipping tequila proudly crafted by Campari Group, and esteemed photographer and creative director Raul Tovar, known for his work with Vogue México & Latin America, Vogue Brasil, L’Officiel, Harper’s Bazaar, and GQ, came together to host a lively Mexican Posada in New York City.
The evening brought together an incredible group of tastemakers and creatives, including Karla Martinez de Salas, Mayela Vazquez, Valentine, Génesis Suero, Yayis Villarreal, Moses Moreno, Nazy Nazhand, Kyle Lamar Rice, Chef Grace Ramirez and more. Guests gathered to toast the holiday season, celebrating tradition, artistry, and community at this colorful and festive evening beautifully brought to life by Tovar.
The posada – a traditional Mexican festive celebration that takes place during the holiday season – was a celebration of friendship, tradition, and the exciting year ahead. Guests enjoyed traditional Mexican cocktails – like a Mayenda Tequila Carajillo – and a custom menu to celebrate the occasion. To emphasize the spirit of the season, attendees were encouraged to bring a winter item to be donated to New Yorkers in need this winter.
“Posadas are a vibrant and joyful way to celebrate the holiday season,” toasted photographer Raul Tovar, “and I am delighted to bring everyone together to ring in the holidays with Mayenda Tequila while also partaking in a traditional Mexican celebration.”
Known for its pioneering production process that adds two extra steps to create its premium offerings, Mayenda was introduced in 2023 with the intent to provide a tequila of unparalleled richness and complexity, ideal for sipping. Mayenda Tequila's secret lies in two additional steps of craft and care—maceration and the blending of agave miel into the base distillate—capturing the profound flavors and aromas of cooked agave, often lost in traditional tequila-making.
