Swagger Magazine recently held its Miami Art Week Creators Gala. Held at the stunning 1 Ocean South building in Miami Beach’s exclusive South Pointe district, the gala celebrated the perfect blend of art, luxury, and innovation.
The evening’s signature cocktails were a testament to the sponsors’ commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Guests sipped on the “Swagger Margarita,” a bold and zesty creation featuring Authentico Organic Tequila and ripe agave margarita juice, and the “Cindy Prado Paloma,” crafted with Authentico Cristalino Organic Tequila and fresh classic paloma juice. Hendrick’s Gin delighted attendees with refreshing options such as the “Hendrick’s Cucumber Lemonade” and the “Hendrick’s Collins Avenue,” infused with club soda and grapefruit juice. Sommsation Wines provided an elegant selection of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, while Peroni Nastro Azzurro served its premium Italian lager alongside Peroni 0.0 non-alcoholic beer. Voss Water kept guests hydrated, and Freshie Organic Tequila Seltzer offered a modern, crisp alternative.
The gala was co-hosted by actor Jimmy Akingbola, known for his critically acclaimed role as Geoffrey in Bel-Air, and Cindy Prado, a Miami-based model, influencer, and fitness personality with over 3 million followers. Both will appear on the cover of Swagger Magazine in early 2025. Reflecting on his experience, Akingbola shared,
“My first Art Basel experience has been stunning—an incredible mix of art, culture, and innovation. To end my first night with such an elegant event, celebrating excellence and luxury with Swagger Magazine, was perfect. Narine’s art was stunning, and so was the artist. I couldn’t have asked for a more lovely co-host than the effervescent Cindy Prado. Altogether, an unforgettable experience.”
At the heart of the event was Metamorphosis of Aphrodite Stone, a mesmerizing art exhibit by global artist Narine Arekelian, exploring themes of transformation and beauty. The exhibit, installed with the assistance of TaskRabbit’s skilled Taskers, offered guests a visually immersive experience that perfectly complemented the evening’s celebration of creativity.
The gala also welcomed a host of notable attendees, including emerging artist Deoca, model Cloe Greco, Miami Dolphins star Terron Armstead, and model and influencer Jaz Lario, who mingled with other distinguished guests against the breathtaking backdrop of Miami’s skyline.
The atmosphere was nothing short of magical. The venue’s rooftop offered unparalleled views of Miami Beach’s shimmering skyline, creating a chic and serene ambiance. Guests indulged in gourmet passed appetizers crafted by top chefs, while the dedicated staff ensured that no one waited long for a drink at any of the five fully-stocked bars.
Entertainment for the night was headlined by KUFF, a celebrated Ibiza-based DJ whose electrifying fusion of Afro House, Latin Tech, and Tech House kept the energy high throughout the evening. KUFF’s global influence and masterful sets ensured the dance floor remained vibrant well into the night.
The Creators Gala also partnered with GettingAlong.com to support the next generation of global leaders. This initiative focused on inspiring personal growth and good citizenship by offering resources for future educators and politicians to prioritize actions for societal flourishing.
Swagger Magazine, alongside producers Roxstar Entertainment, Night Train Entertainment, and Jane Owen Public Relations, curated an unforgettable evening. The event beautifully captured the intersection of fine art, high fashion, and luxury living, making it one of the most talked-about events of Miami Art Week 2024.
