Film and literary royalty, including six-time Academy Award® nominated, and two-time Golden Globe® winning actress Amy Adams, descended on THE WELL New York for a special evening in celebration of NIGHTBITCH, a new film from Searchlight Pictures, based on the bestselling book by Rachel Yoder.
Guests began the evening at Quad Cinema for a screening of NIGHTBITCH, followed by a panel discussion moderated by THE WELL CEO Rebecca Parekh, where Amy Adams, Director Marielle Heller and NIGHTBITCH Author Rachel Yoder discussed the themes of motherhood and identity that are raised in the film.
Amy and Guests then arrived at THE WELL New York to enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres and continue the conversation in the fitting surroundings of the beautiful wellness center, nestled in the heart of the city.
Attendees from the evening included Amy Adams, Director Marielle Heller, Author Rachel Yoder, Photographer Sophie Elgort, Lingua Franca Founder Rachelle Hruska, THE WELL Co-founder and CEO Rebecca Parekh and THE WELL Co-founder and COO Sarrah Hallock.
A pioneer in the wellness industry, THE WELL launched an entirely new category with their first-of-its-kind holistic, integrated wellness center in New York City in 2019, bringing multiple healing modalities under one roof in an urban setting, introducing the first ever social wellness space designed to help people more easily integrate wellness into their daily lives. Founded by Rebecca Parekh, Sarrah Hallock, and Kane Sarhan, THE WELL currently has four locations globally, including the original flagship in New York City.
Collaborative pieces created especially for the NIGHTBITCH release by Lingua Franca, handmade cashmere knitwear, and Hatch, maternity pajama specialists, were on display alongside a curated selection of wellness products, chosen by THE WELL practitioners, specifically to support postpartum maternal and mental wellbeing. Guests sipped on specialty sake cocktails, such as the Holiday Daiquiri, and enjoyed passed canapés like Kimchi Grilled Cheese and Mushroom & Squash Tostadas, courtesy of THE WELL. THE WELL New York will continue the conversation around motherhood and the themes raised in the film as they launch their new series: “The NIGHTBITCH Talks: What Your Mother Didn't Tell You About Motherhood,” this December. THE WELL invites guests to join a like-minded community of moms who want to remain committed to their children without losing connection to themselves, for an evening of libations and real-talk conversations inspired by NIGHTBITCH. Guided by Lia Avellino, LCSW, mother of three and Director of Head & Heart at THE WELL, these conversations will serve as a release valve, providing space to sift through the challenges of motherhood, tune out the noise of parenting advice and focus on a mother’s inner knowing of their and their kids’ needs, expressing raw emotions in a judgment-free zone.
The NIGHTBITCH Talks will be held on December 4th & 18th, and January 8th & 22nd, and are open to members and non-members alike. For more information, please visit the link HERE.
