German luxury brand, MCM and buzzy downtown NYC hotel, The Standard, High Line hosted a festive dinner at The Standard Grill to ring in the holiday season and unveil the inaugural MCM x The Standard Christmas Tree.
The celebration kicked off at The Shop at The Standard, High Line where top VIPs, media, and stylists were the first to experience the MCM x The Standard Christmas Tree over holiday cocktails. The MCM x The Standard Christmas Tree, which will be on display in The Shop at The Standard, High Line through the new year merges the hotel’s ‘cooler than cool’ lifeblood with MCM’s ‘digital nomad’ DNA.
Following the cocktail, guests were led to The Standard Grill for an intimate dinner to continue ringing in the 2024 holiday season and celebrate the partnership. Guests were dressed in select pieces from the fashion brand’s latest collection while others entered the space carrying classic MCM accessories. Capitalizing on a chic holiday moment, the evening’s table was adorned with The Standard’s classic dinnerware and flatware with touches of MCM ornamenting the tablescape through custom, MCM-monogramed place mats and napkin holders. Festive floral arrangements and MCM-branded candle votives also frosted the table. To top off the branded experience, a timeless MCM accessory awaited each guest, remaining draped over the back of every seat throughout the dinner.
Attendees from the evening included Jessica Wang, Karina Bik, Alexa Losey, Caroline Vazzana, Salina Williams, Nate Katsuki, Melissa Vale, Kaye Bassey, Fatou Fall, Taylor Reed, Yana Khan, Valentino Bonaccio, Matthew Mazur, Tama Gucci, and Savannah White.
The MCM x The Standard Christmas Tree features a mix of classic, silver and gold ornaments and branded MCM ornaments in the shape of rocket ships and stars, following the theme of their currently available collection for Autumn/Winter 2024 entitled “Munich to Mars.” The decorated and lit tree is topped off with a custom MCM star and with holiday shopping in mind, surrounded by stacks of MCM gift boxes wrapped in custom MCM ribbon.
As an extension of the MCM x The Standard Christmas Tree, The Shop at The Standard, High Line will additionally be selling a curated selection of MCM pieces through the new year, including a mix of winter-ready new arrivals and classic accessories in MCM’s signature logo-clad silhouettes.
