Art Production Fund Executive Director Casey Fremont and Fort Gansevoort Co-Founder Carolyn Tate Angel welcomed friends to an intimate lunch at Cecconi’s Dumbo to kick off Art Sundae. Raul de Nieves, the undisputed star of this yearʼs Whitney Biennial, humbly accepted congratulations for his stained glass window installation at the Whitney, and also spoke about upcoming residencies in Greece and Italy. Notable attendees included Athena Calderone, Jessica Joffe, Thakoon Panichgul, Rachelle Hruska MacPherson, Raul de Nieves, Zoe Buckman, Curtis Kulig, Cynthia Talmadge, Elise Peterson, Violet Gaynor, Andi Potamkin, Jane Keltner de Valle, Nadine Abramcyk, Bettina Prentice, Michelle Hellman Cohen and Laura de Gunzburg. Art Sundae is a new program that brings together a diverse group of children ages 5 to 15 for artist-led, interactive public art workshops.
