Architectural Digest’s Global Editorial Director and U.S. Editor in Chief Amy Astley alongside Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch of Roman and Williams brought together the design, art and media industry’s top players for a dinner celebrating the iconic architecture and design studio’s brand new exhibition, A Certain Slant of Light.
Guests enjoyed cocktails before being seated for dinner beneath a dramatic installation of 100 lights hanging from the 30 foot ceiling of the historic Tribeca landmark. Roman and Williams’ La Mercerie presented a multi-course French menu of Homard en Salad, Filet de Boeuf, and decadent Charlotte au Chocolat, served on hand-crafted Kohyo ceramic dishes from Roman and Williams Guild. A gorgeous 80 foot long table was strewn with a field of chrysanthemums and Reed candlesticks, designed by Alesch and Standefer, also from Roman and Williams Guild. Remarks from Amy Astley and Robin Standefer celebrated the partnership between the iconic brands, and the innovative work of Roman and Williams in lighting and design over 20 years.
