Detroit-based design brand Shinola held a block party to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day and the launch of the Jackie Robinson timepiece, the latest watch from Shinola's Great American Series. Additionally, the event marked the grand opening of Shinola Brooklyn, the brand's second New York storefront located within DUMBO's new Empire Store complex. Attendees, including actor and friend of the brand Jason Sudeikis, enjoyed ballpark eats & activities including pizza from Brooklyn-favorite Roberta's, treats from The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, a baseball card photobooth, and a 'kid-zone' set up with baseball-themed games & drills. The afternoon's music was provided by Grammy-award winning DJ, Questlove, whose set was opened by DJ Lindsey of The Lot Radio.
