Native Texan and New York City-based fashion designer, Lela Rose, celebrated the reopening of her Dallas boutique with an intimate and transformative gathering of notables and friends for an evening of conversation, reflection, and connection in Dallas.
As guests arrived at The Pump House, they were welcomed by native plantings, spillways, and artful floral installations by Twelve Thirty Four Florals. The outdoor space was adorned with wildflowers and sunflowers, paying tribute to Lela’s upbringing in Texas and time spent out west. Every detail of the event décor was carefully chosen to connect the personal touches designed into Lela’s new store, drawn first from her mother’s home, and the event space itself.
Guests enjoyed signature cocktails curated by Lela, including a “prettier” Paloma and a Pecan Old Fashioned. Art2Catering served Lela’s favorite passed canapés served on plexiglass trays with hand-pressed flowers, featuring caviar biscuits, quail deviled eggs, and fresh-shucked oysters served with a vibrant granita, all while trick roper, Ketch Weaver, entertained guests as the sun set. Guests donned their best Western cocktail attire, including new pieces from the Lela Rose Ranch Collection, that will be available in the newly designed store.
Guests sat for an elegant seated dinner set against the backdrop of The Pump House, surrounded by greenery and built out art installations. The tabletop was mirrored to further emphasize the reflective evening and topped with whimsical floral sunflower bouquets. Menus were handcrafted with wheat pressed between and personalized name cards were hand calligraphed for each guest.
The night continued with a Texas-themed three-course meal, crafted by Juan Garrido of Art2Catering. Guests enjoyed dishes such as Texas quail, 44 Farms beef tenderloin with Reyrosa chorizo — an ode to Lela’s family ranch — shrimp and grits, and a Texas goat cheese apple tart. As a parting gift, guests received a bag of spiced pecans made from a cherished family recipe by Lela’s grandmother, Grand Sue.
Due to popular demand, Lela introduced Lela Rose Ranch to the Dallas market alongside her namesake collection, a seamless blend of the designer’s signature style with iconic elements of western wear. The new Ranch collection is comprised of seasonal design motifs inspired by Lela’s upbringing and passions for the West, accented by a hand-curated assortment of vintage pieces - ranging from her coveted suede jackets, upcycled with embroideries and embellishments, to home accents and belts, all sourced by Rose herself.
Notable guests in attendance included Lela Rose, Deedie Rose, Elisa Summers, Brian Bolke, Tyler Hays, Heather Washburne, Meghan Looney, Bela Cooley, Shelby Goff, Porschla Kidd, Sharon Lee Clark.
