Founder and Executive Director Mike Traud brought The Chef Conference to Los Angeles for its West Coast debut and first event outside of Philadelphia. Supported by Resy and hosted at ChowNow’s headquarters in Culver City, The Chef Conference brought together culinary luminaries and the most prolific voices impacting the cultural conversation for panels and programming designed to advance ideas and strengthen the community.
Over 200 guests gathered at ChowNow’s headquarters for a packed day of panel discussions and culinary programming. Panel topics included “Culinary Entertainment: Behind the Lens,” “Mental Health in the Restaurant Industry,” an intimate conversation between Elena Reygadas and The New Yorker writer Hannah Goldfield, and “Inside the Minds of Reviewers” which featured some of the nation’s top restaurant critics. Breakfast, lunch and dessert breaks showcased offerings from beloved local restaurants such as Saltie Girl, Ggiata, Here’s Looking At You, Yangban, Fiorelli x Flour + Water, Superba, Huckleberry Café, Flouring LA, Wanderlust Creamery, SweetBoy, Joint Seafood, Domestic BBQ and more. Following the conference, the party continued with a happy hour presented by Industry Only LA. Guests enjoyed spritzes from San Pellegrino alongside bites from Bridgetown Roti, Holy Basil, Prince Street Pizza, Tacos1986, Astrea Caviar, Chimmelier Korean Fried Chicken and more.
