Ahead of its debut USA store opening in New York City, Axel Arigato threw a private rooftop launch party to introduce itself to the city and bring together community members from across NYC's creative sectors.
A special headline 2-hour performance came from actor, model and DJ Luka Sabbat, whose diverse and expansive range of tracks kept the dancefloor pulsing into the early hours. Luka was also joined by friend and guest Zack Bia for a special additional performance in true New York style.
Luka was supported by Las Flaquitas, a DJ collective from New York known for their energetic live performances - and music producer and culture cultivator Kitty Ca$h who brought the space to life with hip hop and RNB sounds.
The party was held at 53 Scott - a creative hub in the heart of Brooklyn, known for its brutalist architecture and expansive window vistas. A skyline rooftop terrace provided stunning panoramas of the city scape, foregrounded with an illuminated Hollywood-inspired Axel Arigato sign - a nod to the brand's continued USA expansion.
Amongst VIP attendees were Sarah Snyder, Reese La Flare, Fai Khadra and Bloody Osiris. They were joined by members of the community including Brandon Tan, Cjay Syre, Denzel Dion, Maria Alia and Alani Noelle. Guests were treated to a signature cocktail selection from Lalo Tequila and Ten To One Rum, alongside classic American hot dogs from Glizzy.
Throughout the night, the brand worked with photographer and producer Yavez Anthonio alongside legendary NYC nightlife photographers Matthew Weinberger and Miguel McSongwe to document the evening. Liana Statenstein also joined, interviewing guests via her iconic voxpop-style to-camera videos. In the sky, a drone circled the building, capturing the event's unravelling from a bird's eye view.
Axel Arigato's CEO Albin Johansson and Creative Director Jens Werner also joined respectively from Sweden and London for the celebrations.
