The fashion, creative, and digital communities participated in a thought-provoking dialogue as part of a special series of programming events at the limited-time Hourglass Cosmetics and Barneys New York concept store located at 14 Prince Street.
Attendees from the evening included Tefi Pessoa (Content Creator), Julie Gilhart (Former Barneys New York Fashion Director), Jackson Wiederhoeft (Artist, Storyteller, and Designer), and Alex Williams (Creative Strategy Director at TikTok).
Guests learned more about the transformative role that platforms like TikTok have played in amplifying creative voices, addressed the opportunities and challenges facing today’s designers, and more. After the panel discussion, guests mingled and shopped from covetable fashion offerings by partner designers including Wiederhoeft, Christopher John Rogers, Thom Browne, Marc Jacobs, KHAITE, KidSuper, Proenza Schouler, Luar, and many more.
At the center of the pop-up is the Hourglass Beauty Bar, featuring the Barneys New York x Hourglass collaborative Ambient Lighting Palette and Satin Cremè Lip Duo, and a commemorative fragrance, XX, in honor of Hourglass’s 20th anniversary. Inside the Hourglass and Barneys pop-up store, guests also engaged with a life-size poodle installation custom-built with Hourglass products, a photo moment in a first-of-its-kind porta-a-potty windblown dressing room.
The Hourglass and Barneys Concept Store is open to the public from September 5th to October 11th.
