BPCM and client Dom Pérignon hosted an array of journalists, celebrities and influencers for the unveiling of two vintages: Vintage 2015 and Vintage 2006 Plénitude 2. Guests were conveyed by yacht to 71 Cobb Lane, a private estate in Water Mill, for a gastronomic experience with world-renowned Argentine chef Francis Mallmann, alongside Dom Pérignon Chef de Cave Vince Chaperon. The “Exploration of Tactility” dinner celebrated the specific climate conditions that produced each vintage, delving into the contrasting weather patterns of 2015 and 2006 and their effect on the distinctive, singular profile of each vintage. Mallmann, known for his rustic “Seven Fires” cooking, offered an intriguing counterpoint to the refined Champagnes, enriching the tasting experience by juxtaposing disparate textures and flavors.
Guests included Naomi Watts, Camila Morrone, Evan Mock, Rachel Zoe, Francis Mallmann, Rōze Traore, Cole Bennett, Pierce Abernathy, Evan Ross Katz, Kilo Kish, Alex Tieghi-Walker, Stephanie Goto, Candace Bushnell, Quinn Mora and Lumia Nocito.
The event led a series of three public “Exploration of Tactility” dinners with Mallmann and Dom Pérignon—a rare and unconventional opportunity for the public to experience vintages at the time of their first unveiling.
The concept, developed by BPCM’s Wine & Spirits department, marked a significant departure from how luxury Champagne releases are typically conducted—a strategic move to enhance Dom Pérignon’s brand engagement and media visibility, demonstrating innovation in a competitive landscape.
