The Glass House celebrated its fourth annual Summer Party, an important annual fundraising event which helps support preservation projects on site. Artist Vik Muniz provided a limited edition to benefit the Glass House and the party was also generously supported by Athena Art Finance with additional support from William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty. 400 guests were shuttled to and from the site thanks to Rolls Royce Motors Cars of Greenwich.
Artists, designers, architects, collectors and families alike joined in the fun by strolling the 49-acres landscape, viewing Yayoi Kusama's Narcissus Garden in the lower meadow and playing lawn games including ping-pong and chess. DJ Mia Moretti and Chez Conversations presented a deconstructed symphony: her voice and the debut performance of Glass by Margot. Guests sipped Taittinger and enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres and a picnic by The Schoolhouse at Cannondale.
Greenwich Tent Company provided a gorgeous space for the silent auction powered by Paddle8 which included artworks and experiences by a range of artists including Josef Albers, Carlos Betancourt, KAWS, Louise Lawler, Bruce Nauman, and Richard Serra, among others. Design Within Reach provided lounge furniture around the pool for guests to enjoy as well as a photo booth for guests to capture the moment and take home a photo portrait with Kusama's Pumpkin and the Glass House in the distance.
