Gagosian and David Kordansky Gallery co-hosted a private party in honor of Lauren Halsey's participation in la Biennale di Venezia, and was held at Blu Cabanon - the latest addition to the Relegance Collection that also includes Palazzina Grassi in Venice. This unexpected venue is located off the beaten track, on the quiet island of Giudecca. The event took place during the opening week of the Biennale - with music from Canadian DJ / Producer BAMBII - and marked the venue's official introduction to the city of Venice as a private event space that stands out with its ambience and extraordinary 12-meter indoor pool, seamlessly integrated into the elegant design of this Venetian residence.
Curated by Adriano Pedrosa, the 60th Venice Biennale, Foreigners Everywhere, prominently includes work by Los Angeles-based artist Lauren Halsey in the Arsenale. On view simultaneous to the Biennale at Gagosian’s Paris space is Halsey’s first solo show with the gallery (March 21 - May 25, 2024).
