Save Venice’s annual Un Ballo in Maschera returned, orchestrated by Save Venice Co-Chair and event visionary, Bronson van Wyck of Van Wyck & Van Wyck. The black-tie affair, held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City and attended by over 400 guests, raised more than $1.2 million for the preservation of historic art and architecture in Venice, Italy.
Van Wyck transformed The Plaza into a mesmerizing Venetian garden, echoing the evening’s theme, La Primavera. Drawing inspiration from the vivid artworks of Renaissance maestro Paolo Veronese found in the Venetian Chruch of San Sebastiano, the design imbued the evening with a rich cultural tapestry. The Terrace Room and Grand Ballroom adorned with lush trees, blooming flowers, and verdant foliage, reminiscent of the flora and fauna depicted in Veronese’s paintings, evoked the ambiance of a warm spring night in the “Floating City.” Adding to the allure of the evening, beautifully decorated vintage bar carts served DIO, Bronson’s new line of premium, ready-to-drink cocktails.
