Jane Fonda, Gagosian, and Christie’s presented the "Art for a Safe and Healthy California" benefit in Beverly Hills on the evening of April 9th. Five works of art have already sold by artists including Francesca Gabbiani, Mark Grotjahn, Marilyn Minter, Cathy Opie and Ed Ruscha, with many more to come in the Christie’s auction in May and Gagosian selling exhibition this summer. In total, the evening raised more than 10 million dollars.
Guests in attendance enjoyed remarks from Larry Gagosian, Jane Fonda, Nalleli Cobo, Dr. Lorenzo Gonzalez, Chris Lehman, Wendy Schmidt, Greg Sarris, and Chrissy Teigen, as well as a live performance by John Legend and DJ set by Zuri Marley.
