An intimate evening at the Hammer Museum hosted by Jenni Benzaquen of the Luxury Group by Marriott International and renowned artist Sanford Biggers began with a private gallery tour, followed by an exclusive cocktail at the museum alongside Biggers’ monumental cast bronze sculpture, Oracle, and a lively dinner celebration at Lulu, the museum’s open-air market-driven restaurant.
Biggers’ Oracle, in its last run at the Hammer, inaugurated the museum’s outdoor sculpture pedestal. Commissioned by the Art Production Fund, the sculpture was originally installed at Rockefeller Center and combines African and European styles of art to reference worldwide globalization and diaspora.
