Christie’s Los Angeles held a Private Dinner to Benefit The Andy Warhol Museum’s Film Initiative. The dinner was hosted by Sonya Roth - Deputy Chairman of Christie’s Los Angeles, Patrick Moore - Director of The Andy Warhol Museum, Maria Bell - Collector and Filmmaker, and Lee Hutter - CEO of Curated Wealth Partners.

Members of the host committee in attendance included Irving and Jackie Blum, Jonas Wood, Bill and Leslie Mcmorrow, and Carolyn Powers.

Additional notable attendees included Christopher Lloyd, Michael and Vanessa Chow, Joaquin Navarro, William Bell, Sheri Crichton, Chan Luu, Stavros Merjos and Honor Fraser, Sydney Picasso, David and Sonia Salzman, Wendy Stark Morrissey, Joan Quinn, Thao Nguyen, Billie Weisman, Vincent and Shelly Fremont, Kashy and Laura Khaledi, Bonnie Brennan - President of Christie’s Americas, Alex Rotter - Christie’s Chairman of 20th and 21st Century Art, Alex Marshall – Christie’s Senior Specialist Post-War and Contemporary Art.

The dinner inaugurated a special exhibition that Christie’s is presenting together with The Andy Warhol Museum in occasion of Frieze Week that features eight silent Warhol films projected in Christie’s Beverly Hills galleries.

Both film and art, the works in this exhibition collectively offer a rare glimpse into the intersection of portraiture, celebrity, and Hollywood that fascinated Andy Warhol in the 1960s, and famously came to define much of his practice. Notable figures portrayed in the works on view include 20th-century icons Dennis Hopper, Bob Dylan, Edie Segwick, Salvador Dali, among others.

The exhibition is now open and will run until Thursday, March 14, 2024.
