The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) hosted the annual Orchid Dinner at The Plaza for more than 350 guests, raising crucial support for NYBG’s global plant research, conservation and education initiatives. For the third consecutive year, esteemed French luxury beauty brand Guerlain returned as a sponsor of the evening.
Guerlain's ongoing commitment to orchid research and conservation is a foundational element of the brand, and therefore this annual show and dinner are significant to their cause and heritage. The dinner has become known for its stunning table centerpieces of extravagant orchid arrangements, celebrating The Orchid Show: Florals in Fashion that opened in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. The show itself was created by three rising design stars - Collina Strada by Hillary Taymour, Dauphinette by Olivia Cheng, and FLWR PSTL a.k.a. Kristen Alpaugh, who inspired the country’s most innovative designers, florists, and landscape enthusiasts’ tablescapes.
Guests were treated to an evening of elegance and enchantment, beginning with a cocktail reception offering rare orchids for sale and tours of the designers' tablescapes. The festivities continued with a sumptuous multi-course dinner and lively dancing to music by DJ Runna. Guerlain gifted all attendees with exclusive gift bags containing their new Orchidée Imperiale Gold Nobile skincare and invitations for complimentary facial treatments.
Notable names in attendance included Dascha Polanco, Charlotte Groenveld, Melodie Ray, Jenny Cipoletti, Michelle Ochs, Christie Tyler, Christina Grasso, Madisin Rian, PJ Mattan, and more.
