NYC-Based fashion Label, MONSE hosted an intimate dinner celebrating their AW24 New York Fashion Show on Saturday, February 10th at The Bazaar by José Andrés at The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad. The intimate occasion was sponsored by Diageo where guests sipped on signature Johnnie Walker Blended Whisky cocktails throughout the night.
Inspired by the sightings and talk of UAPs and UFOs, Creative Directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia created the AW’24 collection which referenced the sightings that took the world's imagination and the internet by storm, but grounded the pieces in what is very real to the women that buy and love MONSE. For this season they developed a tapestry fabric that portrays a UFO landing in a field, suits and coats with a deconstructed utilitarian belting system, a print inspired by 1950s Sci-Fi Movie Posters and with the help of AI, generated artworks that re-imagine extraterrestrial life as living plants.
Notable attendees included Creative Directors of MONSE, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia were joined by guests Ashley Biden, Nicky Hilton, Candace Lupton, Dorothy Wang, Ezra Williams, Jihan Lee, Phillip Lim, Prabal Gurung, Romilly Newman, Amy Astley, Sai De Silva, Tina Craig, Tina Leung, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos & Sophia Kanavos among others.
