The Norton Museum of Art hosted its annual Gala fundraiser, which featured its fifth annual Gala Auction hosted by Sotheby’s. The events, attended by almost 800 people, raised nearly four million dollars to support the Norton’s curatorial, learning and community engagement programs.

Griffin Director and CEO. “We are overwhelmed by their continued commitment, and the generosity of the artists and galleries supporting this year’s auction.”'
The auction featured more than 45 exceptional works of art by pre- eminent artists like Ghada Amer, Sol LeWitt, Robert Lugo, Louise Nevelson, and more, from some of the world’s leading galleries like Gagosian, Lehmann Maupin, Karma, and White Cube, among others. Seven lots were auctioned live by Sotheby’s auctioneer Michael Macaulay at the Museum’s sold-out Gala, including works by contemporary artists Harold Ancart, George Condo, Ann Craven, Reggie Burrows Hodges, Kylie Manning, Harland Miller, and Anna Weyant.
The Norton garnered international support from the auction, with bidders joining from all over the world. All of the lots auctioned live at the Gala sold.
Gala attendees included artists Kenny Sharf and Firooz Zahedi; collector and curator Beth DeWoody; actor George Hamilton, collector Jane Holzer; model and designer Lauren Layne Merck; supermodel Lorena Rae; former Apple CEO John Sculley; collectors Steven and Lisa Tananbaum; West Palm Beach mayor Keith James, and many more.
