The great and the good of TV, music, and radio came together to celebrate Burns Night on London’s most sought after winter terrace at Dovetale, the new restaurant within 1 Hotel Mayfair, on Berkley Street, hosted by broadcaster and Good Morning Britain favourite Nick Ede.
Guests gathered to cosy up around the fireplace at Mayfair's new hotspot, Dovetale, whilst sipping an array of cocktails made especially for the occasion, courtesy of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Drinks included: Fireside Sipper with Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Frangelico, orange bitters and maple syrup, Winter Cabin Coffee with Johnnie Walker Black Label, coffee treacle, Bordeaux cold brew liqueur and white chocolate cream and the WarmWood Highball with Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Karmina sweet vermouth, London Essence jasmine and peach soda.
First to arrive was Arlene Philips who was seen cosying up by the fireplace with fellow TV presenter Andrea McLean who cut a svelte figure in a stunning black catsuit. Next to arrive was Scottish radio presenter and TV favourite Jenni Falconer and husband James Midgley who raised a glass to Robert Burns with a whiskey cocktail, in true Scotsman style. Heartstopper heartthrob and neurodivergence advocate Bradley Riches, fresh from filming series 3 of Heartstopper, celebrated the purchase of his first home as he cut a stylish figure in a stunning Dior necklace.
Yasmin Mills was dressed to impress in top to toe tartan whilst chatting to fellow actresses Camilla Rutherford and Game of Thrones star Laura Pradelska, donning Givenchy boots, whilst sipping on whiskey sours next to the open fire in the stunning courtyard. Comedian Stephen Bailey popped in for a wee dram ahead of his gig at The Comedy Store later that evening.
The seasonally focussed restaurant which prides itself on using the very best local produce served up oysters, freshly shucked, alongside canapes of neeps and tatties broth, hot smoked salmon & pickle mini stotties, fried haggis slides, crab & lobster crumpets and whiskey knickerbocker glories from the restaurant’s centrepiece ice cream trolley. A female bagpiper piped in the haggis before one of thehosts for the evening, Nick Ede, took to the microphone to welcome guests. Presenter Jodie McCallum performed the traditional ‘Ode to Haggis’.
