ADRIFT Mare – the Mediterranean-inspired restaurant by celebrated chef and restaurateur ‘Gypsy Chef’ David Myers – recently celebrated its grand opening on 25th floor of the luxurious Hotel AKA Brickell with a fabulous launch party, marking the concept as one of the hottest new culinary destinations on buzzing Brickell Avenue. Drawing several hundred guests over the course of the evening -- including top-tier media personalities, content creators and VIPs -- the evening was an unparalleled success, a dazzling food & beverage showcase imbued with an Ibiza-like spirit of decadence.
Guests were warmly welcomed with a chilled glass of Piper-Heidsieck champagne, setting the stage for an atmosphere of elevated style and sophistication featuring breathtaking views of the city skyline and Biscayne Bay. The venue itself was transformed into a haven of elegance, with dimmed lights casting a warm glow over the chic décor, creating an ambiance that perfectly complemented the Balearic Bliss theme. The celebration was officiated by Chef Myers himself and Larry Korman, CEO of AKA.
Against the backdrop of beats by DJ Arthur Baker, attendees savored delightful passed bites from ADRIFT Mare’s menu as well as an Oyster & Sasanian Caviar Bar, which served as a luxury focal point for the evening. In addition, guests were treated to an array of top-notch libations and wines to complement the Mediterranean affair. Behind the gorgeous stone top bar, award-winning mixologists Moe Aljaff and Juliette Larrouy handcrafted several of the restaurant’s signature cocktails, while Ford’s Gin showcased a spectacular Negroni fountain nearby. In addition, attendees imbibed on exquisite pours from The Macallan bar.
The entertainment played a pivotal role in elevating the evening to new heights. Live dancers dazzled the audience with their captivating performances, adding a touch of rhythm and flair to the festivities. DJ Arthur Baker curated a playlist that seamlessly blended with the theme, keeping the energy high and the dance floor alive throughout the night. Guests also had the opportunity to capture instagrammable moments in front of several themed backdrops.
