The Rewilding America Now X Stella McCartney event was an impactful, educational evening focused on environmental advocacy and sharing their vision for a sustainable future.
Stella McCartney's Winter '23 collection draws inspiration from her love for horses and was presented at the Manège de l’École Militaire, France's historic riding school. The event celebrated the collection while highlighting a shared mission to protect North America's wild horses and lands through rewilding initiatives.
In light of the event, Manda Kalimian, founder of Rewilding America Now, felt that this would be the perfect opportunity to offer a first-look to guests of the future and rebranding of what was previously the CANA Foundation. With a big project in the works, The Cana Foundation set the goal to purchase over 55 miles of land in Idaho, a place called Birch Creek. Given the importance and the magnitude of this project, Manda and the Cana team saw this as an opportunity to become Rewilding America Now, and speak to the true mission and the growth of the movement. According to Manda “This is the place that we are going to prove to the world that wild horses here in the United States are truly an integral component to the natural system, they are keystone species that are going to help us build grasslands to sequester carbon and be the leader in climate change initiatives.”
Moreover, a portion of the proceeds generated from sales before, during, and after the event will be donated to Rewilding America Now in support of the Birch Creek project, and more to come. This limited collaboration demonstrates how the worlds of fashion and environmental advocacy can join forces to create positive change.
In attendance were media representatives, fashion enthusiasts, and a community of environmentalists who gathered to hear from Manda Kalimian, the founder of Rewilding America Now. Manda, styled by the Stella McCartney team, wore the Prince of Wales Check Oversized Blazer over the Horse Crystal Embroidery Shirt, styled with a Frayme Bucket Bag and stiletto boots. The evening commenced with a warm welcome, offering guests refreshments and champagne, setting the stage for an enlightening discussion on the critical importance of rewilding initiatives and the preservation of North America's wild horses and lands.
