Over 1,000 ping pong enthusiasts, New York tastemakers, and guests gathered in Times Square to celebrate the grand opening of SPIN Midtown, the original ping pong social club’s new flagship, second New York City and ninth location in North America. The exclusive event unveiled the brand’s reimagining of the former Caroline’s New York space with all new elevated features and immersive elements such as an AI robotic ping pong arm, endless photo opps and entertainment including a DJ and dancers.
Pieter Vanermen, Frack Raharinosy and Andrew Gordon, SPIN Founders, cut the ribbon to officially open the Midtown outpost and welcomed in a line of guests wrapped around the building. Notables of the likes of Matt James were welcomed with cocktails mixed by ultrasonic sound, bites passed by stripper girls and challenged to put their ping pong skills to the test. Comedian, Sherrod Small, hosted SPIN’s must-see ping pong show inviting guests to revel at matches between table tennis champions, Wally Green, Soo Yeon Lee, Kazayuki Yokoyama and Matthew Suchy, and the cast of Second City, performances by Broadway actress, Meecah, and the Brickhouse Dance Troupe and more.
