RetailWhileBlack recently celebrated the journey and contributions of Black-owned and Black-founded brands – including Afro Unicorn, Avid Swim, Be Rooted, Bevel, Black Paper Party, Books and Things, Cantu, Côtier Brand, CurlDaze, Effie’s Paper, Flex-n-Fly, HBCyoU Dolls, Kazmaleje, Kulture Karaoke, New England Sweetwater Farm & Distillery, On the Edge Baby Hair, Pattern, Positively Water, Proudly, thread beauty, Woosah Bridal and more at their successful Do It Anyway Conference.
This interactive event was produced by First and Last PR. It featured opportunities to engage with Webby Award-winning creator of RetailWhileBlack and TargetWhileBlack, retail expert and author Marissa Kearney along with inspirational and actionable panel discussions from industry leaders, and opportunities to shop the newest collections from top Black-owned and Black-founded brands. For social impact at the event, gift bags filled with Marissa's favorite brands were donated to non-profit Yes Girl Creates. The event concluded with a round of Kulture Karaoke Live for all to engage in.
