Art Production Fund celebrated its 13th Annual Gala, presented by Saks, and raised over $760,000 in support of the organization’s mission to produce ambitious public art projects. Over three hundred guests gathered for CAMP APF to celebrate Art Production Fund’s artists and supporters at the iconic NYC landmark, The Seagram Building.
One of New York’s most anticipated art world events, guests arrived at the 2023 Gala wearing their best Hiked Up High Ropes Course dress for an evening of summer camp fun with an elevated twist. Luxury jeweler Maria Tash took up residence in the famous ladies’ lounge where guests could receive piercings before proceeding upstairs for cocktails in THE GRILL, where they sipped champagne by Lallier or poured themselves signature Camp APF slushies. Among the cocktails crowd, dancers in tennis club garb performed “Endless Summer,” by artist Brendan Fernandes. Taking inspiration from the summer camp theme, dancers engaged in a fun and flirty dance about summer love — playing a coy game of “catch me if you can'' throughout THE GRILL before ushering guests into THE POOL for dinner. Here, guests were greeted by a special installation by Lutfi Janania and settled into their “bunks” before dinner was announced with a commissioned performance by acclaimed trumpet player Dave Guy.
All proceeds from the evening support Art Production Fund’s public commissions that make artists’ visions come to life. Art Production Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to commissioning and producing ambitious public art projects, reaching new audiences, and expanding awareness through contemporary art.
