In celebration of Under Armour’s new SlipSpeed sneaker, the brand hosted a launch party at its NYC pop-up location. The event was attended by a number of notable attendees including Gayle King, Dede Lovelace, Nick Hissom, and more with a DJ set by Mona Matsuoka. Guests enjoyed the evening celebrating the launch of Under Armour’s new SlipSpeed sneaker at the launch event which highlighted the fashion, art, and culture of New York City.
Personifying the tenacious spirit of Under Armour, Glossblack was selected to reinterpret the sportswear brand’s values visually, by unveiling a custom mural painting as well as a mannequin display. The artworks blended the artist’s signature aesthetic with the brand’s history and growth through time. NYC graffiti legend, Stash, also supported with visuals for the custom jerseys. Supplementing the artworks, LED screens were installed throughout the event to play images and videos that highlight Under Armour’s evolution and connection to the New York creative and athletic communities.
