The Central Park Conservancy celebrated its Annual Gala at Rumsey Playfield in the heart of Central Park. The stylish evening, which was themed “Central Park Mod,” was generously presented by Harry Winston, Inc. and kicks off a year-long, multi-event partnership. More than 400 guests joined for cocktails and dinner, followed by another 200 Young Associates who joined the party for dessert and dancing. The vibrant event raised $1.4 million in support of the Conservancy’s ongoing work to maintain the beloved landmark as a respite from the pace and pressures of city life for all New Yorkers and visitors.
“The Central Park Conservancy’s annual gala is a wonderful celebration of New York’s most iconic landmark, one that highlights the professionalism and hard work of our staff, volunteers, and supporters,” said Betsy Smith, President & CEO of the Central Park Conservancy. “The sustainability of Central Park is up to all of us, and I am grateful for the dedication of so many supporters who bolster the Conservancy’s work in preserving the Park as a place of respite and renewal for all.”
