The Barbara Berlanti “Heroes Gala” took place at the Santa Monica Barker Hangar benefiting the non-profit organization F*ck Cancer to raise funds toward their mission to improve health outcomes by providing early detection, prevention,and support programs that advances health equity for individuals and communities affected by cancer. The sold-out event raised an incredible over $1.4 million for the cause.
Co-Founder of F*ck Cancer Yael Cohen and Greg Berlanti welcomed guests and spoke to F*ck Cancer’s mission. Cohen shared a personal journal entry from the time her own mother was diagnosed with cancer for the first time.
