Alan Faena and Len Blavatnik celebrated the debut of Faena Hotel Miami Beach, bringing together some of the world's most powerful individuals in the arts, business, real estate, music and entertainment industries to christen their bold new venture. The debut of the highly anticipated hotel has brought glamour and fantasy back to the destination in a modern way.
Alongside Alan Faena, Len Blavatnik and Ximena Caminos, luminaries from the art, design and Hollywood set came together for a culinary processional, fireworks and surprise performances throughout the evening including Ibeyi and Andra Day, as well as the world premiere of the Faena Symphony by Miami’s New World Symphony. Bruce Weber, Harvey Weinstein, Adrian Brody, Vito Schnable, Kelly Lynch & Mitch Glazer, Brett Ratner, will.i.am, Mario Testino, Sebastian Faena, Rachel Feinstein, Lyor Cohen, Andre Balazs, Dasha Zhukova and Leonardo DiCaprio joined in to raise a glass, and take in the spectacular art within the hotel, including Damien Hirst’s showstopper “Gone but not Forgotten” Golden Mammoth.
To commemorate the momentous occasion, Miami’s Mayor Levine declared December 1st, 2015 Faena Day and presented Alan Faena and Len Blavatnik with a key to the city. Faena District is a new neighborhood in the heart of Miami Beach with art and culture at its core. A $1 billion investment, Faena District Miami Beach is poised to become a destination landmark and its arrival to Miami will forever change the city's landscape.
