Owner & restaurateur Valerie Mnuchin welcomed a lively crowd of Shelter Island neighbors, local business owners, tastemakers, friends and family to preview Léon 1909, her transportive, new restaurant opening to the public this week on Thursday, August 11. Revelers were welcomed with cocktails and champagne upon arrival while chef Mason Lindahl prepared passed bites from the restaurant’s wood-burning hearth including skewered shrimp, crab gougeres and ribeye dressed in a Moroccan spiced chermoula. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed refreshing libations from Léon’s whimsical cocktail menu.
