The h.wood Group co-founders John Terzian and Brian Toll, alongside real estate and hospitality entrepreneur Robert Rivani, kicked off two nights of VIP celebrations with the opening of Bar Shishi, The h.wood Group’s new intimate, Japanese-inspired cocktail destination and vinyl lounge inside X by RIVANI. The evening also marked the official ribbon-cutting for the building’s $125 million redevelopment just steps from Lincoln Road, bringing together celebrities, tastemakers, media and Miami notables for the milestone occasion and an early look at Bar Shishi. Hidden on the third floor behind a signature guardian lion entrance, the new concept continued the festivities with a second night of celebrations on September 18. The latest h.wood Group debut supported by The Dana Agency, the agency of record for Bar Shishi as well as Delilah Miami. As a part of the opening celebrations, Anderson .Paak took over the DJ booth as DJ Pee .Wee, bringing the room to life behind the decks and even stepping behind the bar to pass out shots to guests. Bruno Mars also joined the festivities ahead of the pair’s Miami performances at the Hard Rock Stadium over the weekend.
Terzian, Toll and Rivani were joined throughout the celebrations by Shark Tank investor and FUBU founder Daymond John, actor and television host Terrence J, Trophy Room founder Marcus Jordan, internationally renowned pop artist Romero Britto, Love Island USA’s Jennifer Terry, model and creator Cindy Prado, and Kygo’s longtime manager Myles Shear, among others.
Throughout the two nights, guests experienced Bar Shishi’s cocktail and culinary offerings while taking in the intimate space, defined by jewel-toned interiors, dark wood and brass accents, warm ambient lighting, and its signature guardian lion entrance. Behind the bar, Senior Bar Manager and Certified Japanese Ice Master Kevin Lee showcased the craft and technique behind the beverage program, including hand-carved diamond ice, kakigōri-style shaved ice, Japanese cobbler shaking and cocktail throwing.
As the evenings progressed, cocktails and conversation gave way to a music-driven, late-night atmosphere, giving guests a first taste of Bar Shishi and its new energy on Miami Beach.
