Tan France and global furniture design brand Castlery came together to celebrate the launch of the best-selling author, actor, producer, and television personality’s first-ever furniture collection and the brand’s first designer collaboration. Hosted at Nine Orchard Greenhouse, the event brought together media, tastemakers, partners, and Tan’s VIP friends for a golden hour-drenched rooftop celebration.

Notable attendees included Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Mark Peacock, Jeremiah Brent, Nate Berkus, Olympia Gayot, Kim Shui, Fernando Garcia, Laura Kim, Richard Haines, and more.

Nine Orchard’s Greenhouse was completely transformed by the full scope of the collection, which spans 18 pieces across living, dining, lighting, rugs, décor, and accessories. Inspiring the comforts and intimacy of hosting at home, an assortment of the collection’s plush area rugs defined inviting spaces that beckoned guests to gather for conversation around key pieces, offering a seat at the Avan Dining Table and Chairs or welcoming them to gather closely around the Kagan Sofa and low-slung Anaya Coffee Table, with the Anika Table Lamp adding a playful pop of personality and color to the setting.

Featuring canapés inspired by South Asian and Singaporean cuisine served alongside Tan’s favorite Singapore Sling cocktail, the evening’s menu brought the collection’s cross-cultural perspective to life through distinctive flavors. Singapore’s famed IRVINS salted egg yolk chips topped with egg and caviar, as well as chickpea beignets, were prepared by Nine Orchard’s Chef David Cuvin. Chef Dominique Ansel was also tapped to create a selection of scrumptious sweets inspired by Tan’s favorite Singaporean salted egg yolk pastry.

Set against floral installations evoking the tropical character of Southeast Asian and British gardens, the evening immersed guests in the collection’s themes of identity, truth, personal anecdote, and self-expression—translated through a contemporary lens. Every detail thoughtfully reflected a partnership rooted in Tan France and Castlery’s shared belief that a home should reflect who you are.

For one night, guests were immersed in a curated image of home that reflects Tan’s heritage and personal identity as a British-Pakistani raised in the United Kingdom who has built his life and family in the United States, as well as his affinity to embrace the richness of multiple identities to shape a perspective distinctly his own.
