AUTRE magazine and Berlin-based König Galerie partnered for a private dinner to celebrate their signing of art world sensation Ayako Rokkaku to their roster, trained by Takashi Murakami and dubbed as one of the most anticipated solo booths at Frieze 2022. The evening began with an intimate dinner at KA’TEEN, Chef Wes Avila’s new coastal Mexican restaurant resembling a lush tropical enclave located in Los Angeles’ new Vinyl District. Notable guests were welcomed with craft signature cocktail, KA’TEEN Margarita, made with Casa Dragones Blanco, before enjoying a tequila pairing dinner showcasing Chef Avila’s signature Alta California cuisine and Casa Dragones’ small-batch expressions, including flutes of Casa Dragones Joven with the second course. The dinner concluded with sips of Casa Dragones Barrel Blend alongside dessert. Following dinner, König Galerie and AUTRE ventured upstairs to Desert 5 Spot, the new 1970s Palm Springs-meets-Pioneertown rooftop bar for the Frieze Week Kickoff Hoedown. Guests danced and mingled atop the open-air rooftop lounge with performances from Narcissister & CRUSH (Zumi & Cole of Black Lips), Mr. Pharmacist and Olivia Neutron Bomb.
