Over 150 individuals from New York City’s fashion community gathered at New York City’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center) to raise over $275,000 at the 12th annual Fashion Centered dinner to support programs and services for the LGBTQ+ community.

Notable attendees included Thom Browne, Janelle Monáe, Jenna Lyons, Andrew Bolton, Susanne Bartsch, Brad Goreski, June Ambrose, Lourdes Leon, Antwaun Sargent, Alok Vaid-Menon, and more.

Actress and musician Janelle Monáe presented fashion designer Thom Browne with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his enduring commitment to LGBTQ+ visibility, equity, and empowerment. Browne stated, “It’s such an honor and a privilege to be here at The Center celebrating 43 years of excellence and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community. On a night that brings together members of the fashion community and so many friends, I’m so inspired to be in this room with all of you.”

The evening also included a performance from Zachary Noah Piser, who sang “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana and “You Go Down Smooth” from Lake Street Dive.

Dr. Carla Smith, CEO of The Center, closed the evening with remarks. “Our community has never survived because the world suddenly became safe for us,” she stated. “We survived because we built places that made survival possible. Places where we could heal, organize, and find joy. That is The Center's legacy. And it is the future we are continuing to build and fight for together."
