Carine Roitfeld and Adrian Cheng hosted two thoughtfully tailored celebrations from their home cities to debut their exhibition, Savoir-Faire: The Mastery of Craft in Fashion, of which Carine Roitfeld was the guest curator. Roitfeld hosted close friends that supported the exhibition for an intimate reception at Suite Marie-Antoinette in the historic Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel in Paris. Simultaneously, Cheng hosted a special opening event for more than 400 guests, titled ‘K11 NIGHT,’ at K11 MUSEA on Hong Kong's iconic Victoria Dockside promenade. Connected via a virtual livestream, Cheng and Roitfeld unified leading creatives from around the world for a cross-continent toast to craftsmanship, cultural exchange, and the official commencement of the exhibition. A charity auction was also held at the opening event in Hong Kong where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to UNESCO and the K11 Craft & Guild Foundation to conserve and rejuvenate fast-disappearing craftsmanship. With canapés and champagne in hand and Eiffel Tower views aplenty, Carine celebrated with guests including models Soo Joo Park and Mao Xiaoxing, Founder of French Label Koché and Chanel Lemarie Artistic Director Christelle Kocher, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Purple Magazine Olivier Zahm, and acclaimed French artist Adel Abdessemed. Video tributes were shown at the event to celebrate the opening of Roitfeld and Cheng’s exhibition with special submissions from British Designer Richard Quinn, YouTube's Head of Fashion & Beauty Derek Blasberg, and Oscar de la Renta’s Co-Creative Director Fernando Garcia.
