Liv Tyler hosted an exclusive cocktail event to celebrate the opening night of Bulgari & Rome: Eternal Inspiration at the maison's flagship store. The evening continued at the James B. Duke House on Fifth Avenue with a private Roman Bacchanal dinner. Guests including host, Liv Tyler, and other notables included Alexa Chung, Harley Viera-Newton, Giovanna Battaglia, Jessica Hart, Alessandra Neidich, Cleo Wade, Indre Rockefeller, Lily Kwong, Zani Gugelmann, and Lauren Remington Platt all looked stunning in Bulgari jewelry.
The dinner theme of an ancient Roman Bacchanal, featured guests in diaphanous dresses with floral crowns and Bulgari jewels dining amidst a setting of lush florals including climbing ivy, vines, citrus and cypress trees and arrangements with heirloom fruits. Inspired by Caravaggio’s still life paintings, the fare included a lavish spread served on hand-blown glass plates etched with 18-karat gold from Florence. An ancient Roman mosaic from the Third Century AD depicting autumn and representing plentiful harvests on loan from Ariadne Galleries was also on display.
The BULGARI & ROME: Eternal Inspiration exhibit space is located on the second floor of the flagship store, where 40 different heritage jewelry pieces illustrated how the Eternal City’s history, architecture, monuments and sculptures inspire Bulgari’s iconic designs in unexpected ways. The exhibit runs through November 22, 2015.
