The Central Park Conservancy’s Women’s Committee celebrated its inaugural Playground Partners Galentine’s celebration to support the daily care and maintenance of Central Park’s 21 playgrounds. The reimagined winter fundraiser raised over $275,000 during the virtual event, which featured guest speakers who shared the Women’s Committee’s love and gratitude for Central Park and the Conservancy’s work to maintain and enhance New York City’s beloved 843-acre public space.
The benefit featured a lively program hosted by actress, comedian, author, and producer Ali Wentworth, with conversations and special appearances by CBS Sunday Morning Contributor Alina Cho, Celebrations Expert Darcy Miller, floral designer and creator of the Flower Flash Lewis Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker, and actors and authors Tracy Pollan & Michael J. Fox.
Central Park Conservancy President & CEO, Elizabeth W. Smith and Women’s Committee President, Yesim Philip, welcomed Playground Partners Galentine’s Celebration Co-Chairs, Stefanie Alfond, Mimi Ritzen Crawford, Austen Cruz, Ainsley Earhardt, Kate Lauprete, Eve Lehrman, Margo M. Nederlander, Nelle Miller Norberg, and Stephanie X. Stamas, who were joined by Playground Partners Co-Chairs, Katherine Birch and Samantha Topping Gellert, and Playground Partners Vice Chair, Heather McAuliffe.
